HandyFact - Purchasing a PC
Things to consider:

-Sometimes getting more RAM (64+) will increase performance better than getting a more expensive CPU.

-17 inch monitors are ideal. Smaller can strain your eyes. Larger may not be a good value.

-Watch out for free or "cheap" computers.  They may lock you into a specific Internet service provider with sub par service levels.

-
It's usually cheaper to buy extra features up front instead of adding them one at a time later on.

-If possible, buy a computer instead of leasing it.  Leasing may look cheaper, but in the long run, it's more expensive.  At the end of the lease, you may have to pay for shipping to send the PC back.  Also, you won't have the option of giving the PC away to someone you know once you buy a new one.
