Games
Places - Beginning to End
Number of Players: 2 or more
This game can be fun for all ages, the older the players, the more difficult you make the rules. The object is to keep the game going, with no repeats, for as long as possible (or as long as desired), or until you've made it "over the hill, and through the woods to Grandmother's house" as the case may be. The first player states the name of a place, for example "Wauwatosa" (it's a city in Wisconsin if you're wondering). The next player states the name of a place beginning with the letter with which the previous player's place ended. In this example, the end letter is "A" so the second player might say "Atwater" (it's a small town in California).
You can change the difficulty level of the game by changing the rules. For younger children, you can allow them to use any place, real or fictional. For example "Sesame Street" could be followed by "The Hundred Acre Wood" which might be followed by "Disneyland". To make the game more challenging, restrict the places. You might decide that only US cities are allowed, or only foreign countries etc..
