2. Ava Maria Grotto, Cullman, AL. 35055 
125 miniatures of places from around the world. Located on the grounds of Alabama’s only Benedictine abbey. Admission charged: group, senior and AAA rates.

3. DeSoto Caverns Park, Childersburg, AL., 35044
Birthplace and center for the Creek Indian nation. Contains prehistoric Indian habitat and burial grounds over 2000 years old. It served as a gunpowder mining center for the Confederacy. Admission: charges for tours and attractions

4. First White House of the Confederacy,Montgomery AL. 36130
Home of Confederate President Jefferson Davis from February to May 1861. Contains period furnishings and many of Davis’ personal belongings. Admission: no charge

5. Fort Morgan, Gulf Shores, AL., 36542
Occupied by the Confederates during the Civil War, it was here that Admiral Farragut damned the torpedoes and fought his way past the fort and into the Mobile Bay. Admission: Admission is charged.

6. Key Underwood Coon Dog Memorial Graveyard, Tuscumbia, AL., 35674
Unique cemetery is the final resting place of over 100 coon dogs. Many unusual, quaint and different headstones pay tribute to man’s best friend. Is now a park, with picnic areas, a covered pavilion and rest rooms. Admission: no charge
