1. Rehoboth Beach 
Calls itself the "Nation's Summer Capitol. Between Hwy 1 and the Atlantic Ocean.  Features a boardwalk with an arcade, lots of shops and restaurants.

2. Delaware Art Museum - in Wilmington, DE. 
Largest Pre-Raphaelite collection in the country. Also has the archives of American realist, John Sloan.

3. Delaware Park
Horse racing track, which also includes slot machines.

4. John Dickinson Plantation - (located on Kitts Hummock Rd, south of Dover, DE) 
Home of American Quaker patriot, who was involved in writing of the Constitution.

5. Nemonis Mansion and Garden - Wilmington, DE
A 102-room Louis XVI style chateau. Delaware's answer to Versailles, France. Built in 1910 by Alfred I. duPont.

6. Longwood Gardens - Rt 1 - Northeast of Kennett Square, PA. 
World's premier horticultural display on 1050 acres. Has 40 indoor/outdoor gardens, spectacular fountains and conservatory.

7. Mike's Famous Harley-Davidson Museum - I-295 and Route at the Delaware Bridge, New Castle, DE.

8. Brandywine River Museum - Rte 1 north of Kennett Square, PA. 
Housed in a 19th Cent. gristmill, showcases extensive collection of Wyeth family art, illustrations and other 19th Cent. American art.

9. Phillip's Mushroom Place Museum - Rte 1, 1/2 mile south of Longwood in PA. 
You will see growing mushrooms; exhibits explaining history, lore, and mystique of mushrooms. Fresh mushrooms and gifts are on sale.

10. Delaware Toy and Minature Museum - off Rte 141, Wilmington, DE. 
One of only three museums o its kind in U.S. Features dollhouses, dolls, toys from 1770, miniature vases from 600 B.C. Admission is charged.

11. Punkin Chunkin' Contest - in southern Delaware. 
Held on weekend after Halloween in which mechanical devices are designed to see which can throw pumpkin the farthest.
